IT Field Technician

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, with on-site client work and travel to client locations, including occasional overnight travel

What you will do

• Perform on-site technology assessments and network surveys for client environments.
• Install, configure, and test workstations, switches, firewalls, access points, and other IT equipment.
• Support deployments, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure rollouts.
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and network issues during project work.
• Document client environments, installations, project changes, and equipment inventory using detailed notes and photos.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, and clients to keep projects on track and leave sites organized and operational.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in IT, field services, project work, or technical support.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including switches, routers, wireless networks, and cabling.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and common business technology platforms.
• Familiarity with UniFi, Meraki, or SonicWall networking solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs, and hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Nice to have

• CompTIA A+, Network+, or a similar certification.
• Experience with MSP projects or client-facing IT environments.
• Experience with network installations, rack equipment, or structured cabling.
