Director, Data Enablement and Reporting (AI)

Salary: $186,489–$278,875 per year, plus incentive opportunity.

What you will do

• Define, champion, and execute the R&D data strategy roadmap in alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
• Design and operationalize data governance frameworks covering policies, ownership, stewardship, metadata, semantic annotations, cataloging, lineage, and data quality.
• Deliver governed data products, reporting analytics, dashboards, and self-service capabilities for R&D stakeholders.
• Partner with Data Science, AI Engineering, IT, Biostatistics, Clinical Data Management, Statistical Programming, and business teams to enable AI-ready data.
• Identify practical AI and Gen AI use cases for reporting automation, metadata tagging, quality checks, and R&D analytics.
• Lead, mentor, and develop data and reporting professionals, including analytics and reporting for clinical trial operations.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 8–10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, stakeholder management, or a related role in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences.
• Experience implementing data governance frameworks and strategic reporting in a regulated GxP environment.
• Strong knowledge of R&D data domains, including clinical trials, drug development, real-world data, genomics, devices, and sensors; familiarity with CDISC and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working with Data Science and AI teams and familiarity with cloud platforms, data lakes, data catalogs, DSPM, and modern data governance solutions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, change management, and stakeholder management skills in complex matrixed organizations.
