Privileged Access Management (PAM) Engineer (GOV) - Tempus (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote in select geographic locations, subject to hirify.global approval; occasional in-office participation may be required. Work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace when remote work is approved.

Base salary: $91,000–$202,800 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Operate and support privileged access management services, including account onboarding, modification, decommissioning, incident resolution, and platform health monitoring.
• Own and engineer CyberArk PAM, configuring credential vaulting, rotation policies, approval workflows, session recording, connectors, and integrations.
• Engineer and operate HashiCorp Vault for secure storage, access control, dynamic secrets, short-lived credentials, and non-human identities.
• Integrate PAM and secrets management with servers, databases, applications, CI/CD pipelines, cloud services, and runtime environments.
• Automate and standardize onboarding while reducing hard-coded credentials and manual access processes.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks, improve platform reliability and scalability, and provide audit evidence and remediation support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience and a bachelor's degree, or a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• Hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault and strong understanding of privileged access risk, least privilege, and credential management.
• Experience integrating PAM solutions across servers, databases, applications, cloud platforms, and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows administration, scripting, and automation.
• Experience in regulated or audited environments such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, SOX, or HIPAA.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills. Additional background checks may be required under the government client contract.
