Principal Engineer, Privileged Access Management (CyberArk)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; primarily office-based

Salary: $156,000–$196,000 base salary for positions based in Jersey City, NJ, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Own the PAM technical architecture, platform standards, and engineering roadmap across the enterprise.
• Design and manage integrations with Entra ID, Active Directory, SIEM and ITDR platforms, AWS, Azure, GCP, ServiceNow, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Configure and deploy CyberArk vaults, safes, platforms, workflows, connectors, automations, and account lifecycle protection components.
• Manage PAM integrations with servers, databases, mainframes, applications, and other enterprise systems.
• Implement password policies and account password management within the PAM solution.
• Conduct integration testing and contribute to the continuous improvement of IAM technologies and processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT experience designing, developing, and supporting PAM solutions, with several years focused on IAM.
• 10+ years of experience deploying and configuring CyberArk connectors and plug-ins, including Active Directory, Azure AD, servers, databases, mainframes, and applications; custom connector development experience is required.
• Experience with software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, integration testing, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to change, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high-quality work for audit and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Valid Guardian certification in CyberArk Idira.
• Interest in NHI, agentic AI, and cloud identity security.
