Inside Sales Representative/VMI Technician (Industrial Gases)

Location: Kent, Washington, United States; onsite retail shop role with travel within the assigned territory and minimal overnight stays

Salary: $25.85–$30.29 per hour, plus a monthly auto allowance

What you will do

• Serve customers by recommending gases, tools, hardware, materials, and practical solutions for their projects.
• Process cash and charge orders, pricing, taxes, invoices, paperwork, and deliveries in SAP.
• Conduct customer VMI programs, including product delivery, restocking, re-supply, bin organization, labeling, and inventory adjustments.
• Monitor customer usage and inventory levels, recommend product-level changes, and coordinate merchandise transfers and product replenishment.
• Support branch operations by stocking the showroom and warehouse, handling cylinders and hardgoods, and assisting with customer deliveries.
• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain manifests and driver documentation, and transport compressed-gas cylinders safely under DOT and hirify.global procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two to five years of experience in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service, inventory control, or a similar industry is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and strong driving skills; candidates must be at least 21 years old for vehicle operation.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, sales staff, branch managers, and team members by phone, email, and in person.
• Ability to process cash transactions accurately, follow safety procedures, use personal protective equipment, and read safety data sheets.
• Ability to operate a forklift or complete company-provided forklift training and certification.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or similar systems and intermediate computer skills, including Google Platform.
• At least one year of experience with arc and gas welding.
• Experience with VMI systems, industrial products, or inventory control.
