Engineer, IAM & Endpoint Platform (Cybersecurity)

Location: Washington, DC, United States

Base salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year, plus benefits and potential annual discretionary incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Own the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IAM platforms including SailPoint IdentityNow, Okta, CyberArk, Active Directory, and Entra ID.
• Manage endpoint platforms across Windows, macOS, and iOS using Microsoft Intune and Jamf, including compliance, configuration, application deployment, and security controls.
• Design and automate Joiner-Mover-Leaver workflows, RBAC frameworks, provisioning, access certifications, entitlement reviews, and deprovisioning.
• Apply AI and automation to IAM and endpoint operations, including governance for agentic AI and non-human identities.
• Own technical solutions from design through operations, resolve complex incidents, perform root-cause analysis, maintain runbooks, and support on-call operations.
• Partner with Information Security, Legal, and Compliance on SOX, NIST, ISO 27001, access governance, and endpoint compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; an Information Technology or similar engineering degree is preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant technical experience in systems engineering, IAM, endpoint management, or related disciplines.
• Expertise in IGA, PAM, SSO, MFA, RBAC, role lifecycle management, entitlement reviews, segregation of duties, and access certifications.
• Experience with SailPoint IdentityNow, Okta, CyberArk, Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, Microsoft 365, and endpoint security platforms.
• Experience developing automation with PowerShell and Python, troubleshooting cross-platform issues, and producing audit-ready evidence.
• Availability for on-call rotation and planned or unplanned evening and weekend maintenance when required.

Nice to have

• SailPoint, Okta, Microsoft endpoint, or Jamf certifications.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Zscaler, Defender for Endpoint, and Zero Trust architecture.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted identity governance, OAuth grant reviews, machine identity controls, and prompt engineering for IT operations.
