Senior Data Analyst (Healthcare Analytics)

What you will do

• Collect, clean, and analyze healthcare claims and eligibility data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and payment anomalies.
• Handle ad-hoc analytical requests end-to-end, from scoping and data extraction to accurate, actionable outputs.
• Build and maintain dashboards and prepare reports that support client conversations and internal decision-making.
• Present complex findings in clear, concise language for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring data processes, improve reporting efficiency, and reduce manual work.
• Document analytical methodologies, data workflows, and processes while collaborating with account managers, clinical teams, and operational partners.

Requirements

• 5+ years of analytical experience with healthcare claims data.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, or a related field, or 7+ years of directly relevant healthcare claims analytics experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of SQL experience with strong proficiency in querying and data analysis.
• Knowledge of healthcare claims and eligibility data structures, including ICD, CPT, DRG, and related coding conventions.
• Experience analyzing complex data and translating findings into actionable recommendations in a business environment.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, prioritization, and independent execution skills in a compliance-sensitive healthcare setting.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
• Familiarity with Python for report automation or data manipulation.
