Sr. AI Fullstack Software Engineer (Investments Technology)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, with hybrid work between Baltimore and Washington, D.C.; up to three days per week from home

Base salary: $121,000–$206,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers. Higher ranges apply to Washington, D.C., New York, and California.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and deploy autonomous AI agents and intelligent systems in cloud-based n-tier architectures.
• Develop agent-driven workflows with business stakeholders to automate complex processes and generate actionable insights.
• Contribute to agent orchestration, prompt engineering, real-time data automation, and evaluation frameworks.
• Apply engineering practices including automated testing, continuous integration, code reviews, and continuous delivery.
• Manage technical debt and improve AI platforms and infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI agents to improve business value and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional development experience in an object-oriented language, preferably Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered or agent-based systems in production.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures using AWS or Azure, containerized microservices, and agent frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commitment to engineering quality.
• Ability to work in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. hybrid arrangement; FINRA licensing is not required and will not be supported.

Nice to have

• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, MCP servers, agent orchestration frameworks, prompt evaluation, model benchmarking, and performance testing.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, AWS Kiro, or OpenAI Codex.
• Background in asset management, financial markets, quantitative research, financial instruments, or financial datasets.
