Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Boston, MA, United States; hybrid schedule with work from the office 4 days per week and remote flexibility 1 day per week.

Salary: USD 90,000–180,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonus or incentives.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support investment modeling applications across the full stack.
• Prototype software components, workflows, and features while improving system performance and maintainability.
• Integrate AI-driven capabilities into investor-facing applications and workflows.
• Partner with business analysts, QA engineers, investment professionals, and UAT participants to qualify requirements and execute test plans.
• Manage delivery timelines, communicate status, identify risks, and maintain technical design and support documentation.
• Support production systems through data quality checks, alerting, and on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing durable software solutions.
• Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript/Node.js.
• Experience building and maintaining production front-end applications with React or Angular.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud-native development, DevOps environments, Agile methodologies, and modern testing practices.
• Experience using SDLC tools including JIRA, Git, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, VS Code, and AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI-assisted development or AI-driven workflows.
• Prior experience in financial services or asset management.
• BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
