TL;DR
SVP, Operations (Oncology) (Healthcare Operations): Leading the operational and financial performance of a growing portfolio of community physician practices with an accent on P&L ownership, margin discipline, patient access, and practice growth. Focus on coordinating matrixed MSO functions, adapting corporate initiatives to local regulatory environments, and expanding oncology, urology, and ancillary services across multiple sites.

Location: United States; remote role. Travel flexibility of up to approximately 60% on average is required.

What you will do

  • Own full P&L accountability for an assigned portfolio of physician practices, including revenue, margin, EBITDA, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Partner with physician leaders and administrators to improve access, throughput, patient experience, clinical quality, staff engagement, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and execute margin improvement opportunities across labor, supply chain, payor mix, drug acquisition, and ancillary services.
  • Coordinate Finance, Accounting, Revenue Cycle Management, IT, Compliance, HR, Procurement, and Clinical Operations in support of practice priorities.
  • Develop regional strategies covering service-line expansion, ancillary growth, physician recruitment, new site development, and stronger community presence.
  • Build relationships with physician owners, boards, and clinical leaders while leading enterprise initiatives assigned by the COO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive healthcare experience, including at least 10 years in senior leadership roles within oncology, urology, radiation oncology, or comparable physician-led specialty practices.
  • Direct P&L ownership and demonstrated financial accountability at scale within an MSO or physician practice environment.
  • Deep knowledge of community oncology, radiation oncology, and/or urology practice operations and economics.
  • Ability to lead through a matrixed MSO structure and work effectively with physician owners, boards, executives, and frontline practice teams.
  • Working knowledge of EMR, revenue cycle management, practice management, scheduling, analytics, healthcare reimbursement, and state-specific practice regulations.
