Quality Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, United States; office presence expected 4+ days per week

Base salary for Zone A (California, Washington, NYC): $157,000–$235,000 annually, plus equity in the form of RSUs. Other U.S. pay zones may apply based on work location.

What you will do

• Own quality for end-to-end Direct Revenue experiences spanning multiple teams and product surfaces.
• Define and drive test strategies for new features and premium experiences.
• Build and maintain automation for critical paths, device and OS compatibility, accessibility, privacy, compliance, and localization.
• Diagnose defects, perform root cause analysis, document findings, and coordinate cross-functional resolution.
• Own release readiness and quality sign-off, participate in on-call rotations, and review code and test pull requests.
• Map cross-team dependencies and surface quality risks at integration points.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of post-Bachelor’s experience in software testing or software development, or equivalent advanced-degree experience.
• Proficiency with object-oriented programming in Java, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, or a similar language.
• Experience with client or mobile test automation frameworks such as XCTest/XCUITest, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Espresso.
• Strong experience defining and maintaining test coverage for client and mobile applications across smartphones and tablets.
• Knowledge of agile quality methodologies, SDLC practices, AI-assisted engineering workflows, and standard QE tooling.

Nice to have

• Experience in a distributed product-team environment.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud.
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery systems.
