Quality Engineer (AI Testing)

Location: 100% remote eligible, with quarterly in-person strategy meetings

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and execute testing strategies covering functional, integration, API, end-to-end, acceptance, regression, performance, and non-functional requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, test plans, test data, and reusable quality engineering assets.
• Apply AI-assisted testing practices to create, review, refine, and validate AI-generated test cases and testing artifacts.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, Operations, and Developer Experience to troubleshoot defects, validate fixes, and identify quality risks early.
• Monitor quality metrics, customer feedback, test results, and release outcomes to drive defect prevention and continuous improvement.
• Communicate release readiness and technical recommendations while providing guidance and knowledge sharing to Associate Quality Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or test automation.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or an equivalent automated testing framework.
• Working knowledge of AI-assisted testing tools, AI output evaluation, prompt engineering, CI/CD, version control, secure development, observability, and release readiness.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills across Agile teams; familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing production test automation frameworks and mentoring junior Quality Engineers.
• Experience with performance, security, accessibility, or API testing.
• Familiarity with LLMs, AI orchestration frameworks, AI-enabled testing platforms, containers, Kubernetes, or cloud-native environments.
• ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester, or AI-related certifications.
