Senior Embedded Software Engineer (STM32)

What you will do

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, test, debug, and document firmware and software for packaging systems.
• Support software releases and maintain products used by internal and external customers.
• Analyze complex hardware-software interactions and determine hardware compatibility or influence hardware design.
• Participate in code reviews, code audits, and software process improvement initiatives.
• Communicate changing requirements, effort, and risks while working with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Mentor less experienced software engineers and stay current with embedded software techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years with real-time operating systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Proficiency with source control tools; SVN is preferred.
• Proficiency with bug tracking tools; Bugzilla is preferred.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams and read schematics.

Nice to have

• Experience with IAR Embedded Workbench, Microsoft Visual Studio, Qt, Wireshark, and STLink/J-Link debuggers.
• Experience with STM32 microcontrollers, STM32CubeMX, HAL Libraries, Segger embOS, and related stacks.
• Experience with RS-232, RJ45, TCP/IP, I2C, SPI, USB, uSD, Wi-Fi, FTP, and WebSockets.
