Senior Engineer, Embedded Firmware Engineer (Embedded Memory)

Location: Daily onsite presence at the San Jose, California office/headquarters

Base pay range: $138,000–$206,000 USD per year, plus incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Research next-generation memory solution architectures and develop firmware features.
• Perform firmware architecture, coding, validation, lab bring-up, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware teams on new technologies and features.
• Work with potential customers and partners on technology development.
• Validate new hardware IPs in virtual environments and develop HAL API libraries.
• Develop embedded memory solution software using RTOS.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5+ years of work experience.
• Strong understanding of storage technologies, memory products, and computer architectures including x86, ARM, and RISC-V.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++11/17, and Python.
• Firmware development experience for ARM cores using hardware debuggers such as JTAG.
• Hands-on experience with hardware board bring-up, server system integration, and software stack integration.
• Experience with PCIe or UCIe, version control systems, code reviews, and project management tools.
