Associate Manager Global Credit & Collections (Apparel & Footwear)

Location: Onsite at Sun Day Red Headquarters in San Clemente, California, United States

Annual base pay: $70,000–$80,000, plus potential health and wellness benefits, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, and paid time off.

Performance-driven golf apparel and footwear business operating across global customer accounts and manufacturing channels.

What you will do

• Manage a $65 million accounts receivable portfolio covering approximately 1,500–2,000 global customer accounts.
• Drive collections, reduce delinquency, and achieve DSO, aging, cash flow, and collection targets.
• Review the multi-million-dollar open order book and make credit decisions on order releases, holds, credit limits, and exposure.
• Evaluate customer creditworthiness using financial analysis, payment trends, credit bureau reports, and risk assessments.
• Negotiate payment arrangements, resolve disputes, and analyze deductions, chargebacks, billing discrepancies, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare aging reports, collection forecasts, cash flow projections, and risk assessments while partnering with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, and Credit Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressive commercial credit and collections experience, including at least 3 years in international collections.
• Experience managing accounts across multiple countries, currencies, and business channels.
• Strong credit risk analysis, collection, negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar open order books and working with large distributors or retailers.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; willingness to work extended hours when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP platforms, GetPaid, Business Objects, or Domo.
• Experience in apparel, footwear, manufacturing, or consumer goods.
• Knowledge of international trade practices, shipping terms, export documentation, chargeback management, deductions processing, and dispute resolution.
