Claims Consultant

Location: Remote - US

Annual pay range: $100,000–$130,000

What you will do

• Serve as the primary claims liaison for brokerage clients across casualty, property, workers’ compensation, and professional liability.
• Provide guidance on claim reporting, development, settlement strategy, coverage interpretation, negotiations, and resolution.
• Advocate for clients in complex, high-severity, and disputed claims while ensuring insurers, TPAs, and defense counsel meet service and policy obligations.
• Analyze claim trends, loss drivers, and reserve adequacy; prepare recommendations to reduce total cost of risk.
• Conduct claims reviews and stewardship meetings, and support renewals and placement with claims insights, loss narratives, and benchmarking.
• Coordinate fee-for-service consulting projects and prepare client-facing reports, dashboards, and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in claims management, brokerage claims consulting, carrier claims, TPA, or a related role.
• Deep understanding of insurance policy language and claims processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, consultative environment with professionalism and discretion.
• Adjuster license as applicable.

Nice to have

• Experience handling complex or large-loss claims.
• Industry designations such as CPCU, ARM, AIC, SCLA, or similar.
