Future Talent Pipeline - Reliability Engineer (Refinery)

Location: Onsite opportunities across Houston, Borger, Billings, Linden, Ferndale, Sweeny, Rodeo, Westlake, Ponca City, and Roxana, United States

Base salary: $114,300–$195,800 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise for the reliability of refinery equipment and critical assets.
• Design, install, maintain, and improve mechanical systems in line with engineering standards and regulations.
• Assess equipment criticality, develop asset strategies, and monitor reliability indicators.
• Analyze data, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analyses, and reduce downtime.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, test procedures, cost estimates, and oversee reliability projects through commissioning.
• Support management of change, turnaround activities, emergency response, and after-hours callouts.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; temporary visa holders and candidates requiring current or future sponsorship are not eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in reliability, rotating or fixed equipment, mechanical engineering, maintenance, or a similar role.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite in refinery conditions, including extended hours, weekends, holidays, emergencies, heat, chemicals, high-pressure equipment, and harsh weather.
• Ability to travel up to 5%, operate a company vehicle up to 15%, transport up to 50 pounds, and climb ladders and stairs up to 200 feet.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and wear required fire-retardant clothing and personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• 8 or more years of relevant reliability or maintenance engineering experience in a refinery.
• Vibration analysis experience and CAT I or CAT II certification.
• Experience with SAP or another CMMS.
