Intern/Co-op - Refining Mechanical Engineer (Refining)

Location: Findlay, Ohio, with additional positions at refinery locations across the United States

Salary: $32.92–$41.67 per hour

What you will do

• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules for refinery projects.
• Oversee design activities and assist with construction processes as a project engineer.
• Support maintenance through equipment-related improvements and reliability initiatives.
• Perform root cause failure analysis and optimize maintenance programs for rotating equipment such as pumps and compressors.
• Troubleshoot fixed equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
• Evaluate technologies, materials, and repair methods to improve refinery run times and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Currently majoring in Mechanical Engineering and concurrently enrolled in a degree-seeking program.
• Strong academic performance.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, indefinite basis without employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability for spring, summer, or fall work terms; availability for multiple terms is preferred.
