Associate Business Analyst (Healthcare Data)

Location: United States; primarily remote with occasional travel requirements

What you will do

• Lead negotiations with specialty pharmacy and other data partners on file specifications, field mappings, list-of-values, formats, and delivery cadences.
• Own Ascend platform configuration, data mapping, business logic implementation, reporting setup, and data loading after specifications are finalized.
• Conduct internal QA, validate test files, track configuration defects, and approve work before partner or client-facing testing and UAT.
• Assess standard versus custom data requests and route product or Customer Engineering escalations with clear technical context.
• Coordinate with Engagement Managers, Delivery Directors, Customer Engineering, and Customer Success across multiple implementations.
• Maintain data dictionaries, file inventories, QA frameworks, UAT templates, operating procedures, and implementation playbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university.
• Relevant operations experience in a biopharmaceutical manufacturer, reimbursement call center, specialty pharmacy, or data management company.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data comparison, conditional formulas, data summaries, and data conversion, plus functional knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Business Analysis experience covering systems development lifecycles, problem solving, root cause analysis, and business process documentation.
• Experience managing deliverables across multiple concurrent implementations or client programs.
• Knowledge of specialty pharmacy data structures, including patient demographics, dispense, status, inventory, transactional, clinical, or behavioral data.

Nice to have

• Experience with specialty pharmacy file specifications, SFTP workflows, and data onboarding.
• Case management experience in a reimbursement call center or specialty pharmacy.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, JIRA, Confluence, Google Docs, workflow diagram tools, web-based software systems, or relational databases.
• Experience with structured RACI models or implementation team frameworks.
