Environmental Scientist / Stormwater Inspector

Location: Tyler, Texas, United States; full-time field work with required travel for project needs, including possible weekends and night shifts.

What you will do

• Support environmental compliance and natural resources projects related to water resources, transportation, and development.
• Assist with environmental permits, NEPA documentation, biological assessments, and other compliance materials.
• Conduct field work and collect natural resource data with senior environmental scientists and water resource engineers.
• Work under the supervision of mid-level and senior environmental professionals.
• Record field observations during site visits across sloped terrain, dense vegetation, and inclement weather.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of wetland delineation, field investigation techniques, and agency coordination requirements.
• Strong writing and communication skills, including in-person, telephone, and email communication.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle day or night.
• Ability to travel for project work, lift up to 20 pounds, and work independently in outdoor conditions.
