Senior Consultant - Broadcast Transformation (Broadcast)

Location: New York, NY; on-site. Travel to client sites is required when dictated by the project or assignment, including travel outside the primary office location, state, or region.

Salary: $80,000–$400,000 per year.

What you will do

• Assess current-state architectures, process workflows, solution inventories, and key pain points.
• Support future-state architecture and workflow definition through gap analysis.
• Plan and implement projects while producing high-quality deliverables.
• Immerse quickly in broadcast projects and understand client infrastructure and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to internal and external business partners.
• Identify continuous-improvement opportunities for the broadcast transformation practice.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of television experience with a strong understanding of production workflows.
• 2–5 years of experience leading end-to-end delivery of cloud-based workflows, broadcast IP transformation, and broadcast engineering.
• Knowledge of SMPTE 2110 standards and NDI protocols.
• Deep understanding of video and audio file formats, multicasting, and final delivery mechanisms.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, project accountability, and ability to make difficult decisions.
• Ability to learn quickly and lead across changing technology environments.

Nice to have

• Experience at a broadcast organization or systems integrator.
• Understanding of broadcaster, TV network, and video service provider ecosystems.
• Exposure to IABM, NAB, SMPTE, SVG, or SBE.
• Experience with broadcast technology vendors such as WideOrbit, Avid, Dalet, Grass Valley, EVS, Adobe, VIZRT, Xytech, Ross Video, Amagi, Skyline, Evertz, Telestream, Chyron, or LAWO.
