Field Application Engineer - SEMI

Location: Deggendorf or another city in Germany is preferred; any EMEA country may be suitable. Local travel of approximately 25%–50% is required.

What you will do

• Act as the key technical expert for customers and sales channels in SEMI applications.
• Join sales visits to customer sites to identify needs and qualify product opportunities.
• Collaborate with Engineering to drive design wins and develop technically optimal solutions.
• Develop product specifications, application notes, and technical collateral for new products.
• Track market trends, competition, and customer roadmaps while supporting growth in the product segment.
• Support field issues and repairs, maintain customer files, and educate internal and external personnel on products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or at least five years of relevant professional experience.
• Ability to work directly with customers to resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, support continuous improvement, and exercise sound business judgment.
• Ability to use manual and electric hand tools and microscopes, with fine motor skills for spring probe replacement and repairs.
• Willingness to travel locally approximately 25%–50% of the time.
