Investment AI Solutions Analyst

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to one day per week from home

Base salary: $133,000–$200,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Build consultative relationships with fundamental analysts and portfolio managers and understand their investment frameworks and decision-making approaches.
• Define AI product roadmaps, assess feasibility, and establish delivery accountability with investment stakeholders.
• Design and deploy agentic architectures integrating LLMs, quantitative models, enterprise data, and real-time reasoning systems.
• Develop investment agents that retrieve knowledge and generate research-grade outputs for analysts and portfolio managers.
• Implement guardrails, compliance checks, observability, and responsible AI practices for production investment environments.
• Lead workflow transformation and prototype autonomous, self-improving investment capabilities across Investment, Data Science, and Technology teams.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python or R and experience applying these languages to agentic AI systems such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or LangGraph.
• Exceptional prompt engineering skills and the ability to convert complex workflows into logical, step-by-step AI tasks.
• Deep expertise in data modeling, processing, integration, and analytics, with experience using enterprise platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• At least 5 years of experience with financial modeling, portfolio construction, trading, or investment management workflows.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex AI and investment concepts to diverse audiences; ability to travel for global deployments.

Nice to have

• M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline.
• Leadership experience across technology and investment teams.
• At least 3 years of experience developing agentic AI systems, including advanced RAG and multi-agent systems.
• 10+ years of experience in financial modeling, portfolio construction, trading, or investment management workflows.
• Relevant Databricks, Snowflake, AWS machine learning, or CFA credentials.
