Senior Java Developer

Location: Prague office, Czech Republic

Salary: Kč 1,200,000–1,683,000 annually, excluding incentive awards and other benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deliver, and improve scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions.
• Contribute to critical technical deliveries, regulatory projects, and platform enhancements.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, business users, and engineers to define requirements and solution strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Apply secure coding practices to protect sensitive data and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Implement unit testing to ensure reliable and readable code.

Requirements

• Commercial experience with Core Java SE 8+, including JDBC, multithreading, messaging, and XML processing.
• Knowledge of design patterns, object-oriented design principles, and database design fundamentals.
• Experience with the Spring ecosystem and Hibernate or alternative J2EE technologies.
• Ability to manage risk, strengthen controls, analyze complex information, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Experience delivering software in a structured banking or enterprise technology environment.

Nice to have

• Middleware experience with MQ, JMS, SOAP, and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Linux-based systems and UNIX scripting.
• Experience with DevOps, source control, integration testing, continuous integration, release management, and related software development practices.
