Senior Java Developer

Location: Work from our Prague office.

Overview

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be at the forefront of our digital transformation, fostering innovation and top-notch quality. You will play an active part in a variety of projects encompassing essential technical deliveries, regulatory initiatives, and platform upgrades as requested by the product owner or business users.

What you will do

• Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, contributing to technology communities to foster technical excellence and growth.
• Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data, ensuring secure software solutions.
• Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

Requirements

• Experience with Core Java SE 8+ in a commercial environment, including JDBC, multi-threading, messaging, and XML processing.
• Knowledge of design patterns, object-oriented design principles, and database design fundamentals.
• Experience with Spring ecosystem, Hibernate, or alternative J2EE technologies.
• Experience with Middleware including MQ & JMS and Web Service (SOAP & REST API).
• Knowledge of Linux-based systems and UNIX scripting.
• Experience with DevOps, source control, unit and integration testing, continuous integration, and release management.
