Java Software Engineer

Location: Primarily in-office at the Prague, Czechia office, except during PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and operate mission-critical processing services connecting edge devices with the Pure1 cloud platform.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable and resilient architectural designs with Product and Architecture teams.
• Develop secure, high-performance services for petabyte-scale real-time data processing.
• Improve platform performance, security, and cost-effectiveness through new technologies and architectural patterns.
• Maintain unit tests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Resolve interoperability issues between new and existing components while maintaining high availability.

Requirements

• Experience architecting, implementing, and testing components within large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in a modern backend programming language, with Java preferred.
• Ability to write secure, high-performance, and maintainable code.
• Understanding of distributed systems, networking infrastructure, and Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Ability to work collaboratively and learn new technologies quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or Go.
