Senior Autonomy Middleware Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Full-time onsite work at the Irving, Texas office, United States. Up to 10% travel is required. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $112,710–$183,140 per year.

What you will do

• Develop production-quality C++ software for autonomy systems.
• Design and develop application frameworks and middleware for critical onboard applications.
• Support requirements generation, architecture decisions, and technical tradeoffs.
• Contribute to functional safety software design and validation.
• Integrate hardware and software solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Operate test benches and manage development tasks using Azure DevOps.

Requirements

• Experience programming, developing, and debugging software applications in C++.
• Experience developing in Linux environments.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles, software development life cycle practices, Agile methodologies, Git, and technical troubleshooting.
• Experience with device drivers, hardware diagnostics, non-volatile memory, board initialization, and J1939, CAN, or Ethernet networks.
• Experience with ROS development and core robotics principles.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in robotics, electrical, mechanical, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitHub and Azure tools for version control, collaboration, and cloud services.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts, technologies, and methodologies.
• Strong mathematics and engineering fundamentals.
