Senior Software Engineer, Robotics (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain software for a robotic trailer-unloading product.
• Develop software that controls and coordinates robotic behavior and physical system functions.
• Translate product, system, and customer requirements into reliable, maintainable software.
• Build automated tests, simulation workflows, and system-level validation methods.
• Debug issues spanning software, hardware, sensors, controls, and robotic behavior.
• Analyze operational data and support software integration, commissioning, deployment, and troubleshooting at development and customer sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of professional software development experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong software development expertise in Python and/or C++.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Experience developing software on Linux, preferably Ubuntu, with Git-based version control and issue-tracking systems such as Jira.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering team and independently solve ambiguous technical problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, industrial automation, robotic material-handling systems, or warehouse logistics.
• Experience with parallel or distributed systems and asynchronous or concurrent programming, including Python Asyncio.
• Experience with Kafka, gRPC, software simulation, ROS or ROS2.
• Experience integrating software with sensors, actuators, programmable logic controllers, or other industrial hardware.
