DNA Synthesis Technician I/II

What you will do

• Schedule, operate, and maintain proprietary and commercial DNA/RNA oligonucleotide synthesizers, including CFS, MerMade, and Biolytic platforms.
• Perform downstream oligo processing such as pre-treatment and deprotection.
• Learn basic troubleshooting and perform minor fixes on oligo synthesizers.
• Use the proprietary LIMS for daily work, order tracking, and documentation.
• Maintain batch records, production logs, equipment, and work areas in accordance with the Quality System.
• Follow safety and regulatory requirements, including PPE, hazardous materials handling, and RCRA awareness training.

Requirements

• Minimum AA degree or equivalent; a BS in a science field is preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-throughput production environment and collaborate effectively with the team.
• Willingness and ability to learn basic equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience in an ISO-13485 or cGMP environment.
• Experience using LIMS or a similar laboratory data system.
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals.

• Full-time position with assignment to one fixed, non-rotating shift.
• Shift 3 runs 11:00 PM–7:30 AM, with schedules including Monday–Friday, Tuesday–Saturday, or Sunday–Thursday.
• Weekend work is required; overtime on other shifts may be requested.
