Quality Technician (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles)

What you will do

• Perform incoming inspection and machine shop part inspection for mechanical components.
• Inspect electrical and electromechanical assemblies, including cables, harnesses, connectors, and PCBAs.
• Execute inspection plans and contain and document nonconforming material in real time.
• Maintain calibration of tools and gauges used on the production floor.
• Build the incoming inspection program, including inspection criteria, sampling plans, and records.
• Coordinate quality activities with production, engineering, and QA.

Requirements

• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks, and other standard inspection tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and basic GD&T.
• Experience inspecting machined mechanical parts and electrical or electromechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with nonconformance and MRB processes.
• Experience supporting or managing a calibration program.
• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or technical certificate is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience in startup environments and helping establish an incoming inspection program.
• CMM experience.
• Experience inspecting machined aluminum, titanium, or similar metal parts.
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Certified Quality Technician certification.
