Quality Technician (Waterjet Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at OMAX, Kent, Washington

Salary: $23.92–$39.89 per hour, plus annual profit-sharing with a target 20% bonus.

What you will do

• Perform measurement, inspection, gauge tracking, calibration, audits, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate technical information and quality findings to internal customers and Associates.
• Apply basic quality tools, including 5 Why, Pareto Analysis, and check sheets.
• Support Associates with gauge and instrument use, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, including kaizen, 3P, and other lean events.
• Follow the control of non-conforming material process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and age 18 or older.
• Competence in quality procedures, measurement systems, and print reading.
• Basic skills in mathematics, metrology, calibration, and quality.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, prioritization, documentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work productively in a team environment and desire to pursue ASQ quality certifications.

Nice to have

• CMM/PCDMIS programming or troubleshooting experience.
• CQT or CQI certification and knowledge of Y14.5M standards.
• Experience with Gagetrak, Minitab, or SolidWorks.
• 6-Sigma or lean certifications and experience training or mentoring others.
