Lead Desktop Engineer (End User Compute)

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to three days per week from home.

Base salary for Maryland and remote workers: $122,000–$209,000 per year. Employees may also be eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the engineering, administration, operational health, security, and continuous improvement of enterprise endpoint platforms.
• Design, implement, and maintain endpoint management solutions across Windows, macOS, virtual desktop, and cloud-based environments.
• Drive modern workplace initiatives including mobile device management, zero-touch provisioning, Cloud PC solutions, and digital employee experience platforms.
• Establish device configuration standards, security baselines, operational procedures, and technical best practices.
• Develop automation and scripting solutions to improve platform scalability and reduce manual effort.
• Lead endpoint projects, coordinate activities across infrastructure and security teams, and ensure successful production transition.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience supporting and engineering enterprise endpoint environments.
• 5+ years of experience administering large-scale enterprise desktop management platforms.
• Advanced Windows endpoint experience and familiarity with macOS, virtual desktop, and cloud endpoint platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Microsoft Entra ID, and Jamf Pro.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender Antivirus, Windows Defender Application Control, endpoint security controls, PowerShell, and automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, communication, technical leadership, and enterprise deployment experience.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting environments with 5,000 or more endpoints.
• Experience with Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, CrowdStrike, Tanium, Nexthink, or similar enterprise solutions.
• Experience with endpoint vulnerability management programs.
• Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
• Relevant Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, Jamf, or security certifications.
