Presales Network Solution Architect (Network Security)

What you will do

• Lead client discovery sessions and translate business goals, technical requirements, and constraints into actionable network solutions.
• Design secure, scalable architectures across routing and switching, SD-WAN, SASE/SSE, wireless, data center, campus fabric, segmentation, NAC, and firewall domains.
• Present architectures, technical proposals, demonstrations, and Statements of Work to executive and technical stakeholders.
• Develop cost models, licensing and subscription estimates, resource plans, timelines, solution narratives, and RFP responses.
• Align sales, delivery, engineering, specialty, vendor, and distribution teams throughout complex pursuits and handoffs.
• Create reusable reference designs, mentor Solution Architects, and improve presales standards and processes.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in IT solution design, network architecture, or technical presales, including complex multi-workstream pursuits.
• Deep enterprise networking and network security expertise, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs/VXLAN, QoS, multicast, and network automation.
• Design experience with Cisco, Juniper, HPE Aruba, and Fortinet platforms.
• Experience with SD-WAN, SASE/SSE, Zero Trust network access, segmentation, cloud connectivity, and hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.
• Strong client-facing communication, presentation, problem-solving, proposal development, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience; expert-level networking certification is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with an MSP, VAR, or systems integrator.
• Terraform, Ansible, network observability, and compliance framework experience.
• AWS, Azure, VMware, TOGAF, or ITIL certifications.
• Experience in financial services, healthcare, retail, education, or public-sector environments.
