Lab Architect (Networking)

Location: Redmond, Washington, United States; onsite when not traveling. Requires approximately 50% travel to customer and SpaceX locations, including extended hours and weekends as needed.

Base salary: $82,000–$110,000 for Level 1 or $105,000–$150,000 for Level 2 per year.

What you will do

• Drive Starlink integration engagements with third-party networking vendors.
• Collaborate with marketing and integration partners on joint value propositions, technical solution guides, and customer enablement materials.
• Work with product engineering teams to onboard completed solutions into internal test environments.
• Support technical sales engagements by answering customer questions about third-party integrations.
• Develop reference architectures and technical guides covering Starlink integration details and value propositions.
• Represent Starlink at conferences and events while partnering with marketing, licensing, government affairs, finance, legal, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or at least 3 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in technical sales.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise network infrastructure.
• Experience troubleshooting with packet capture or TCP dump analysis and proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language.
• Knowledge of networking technologies and standards including TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, LACP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, OSPF, BGP, IPsec, VXLAN, MPLS, L2/L3VPN, SD-WAN, and Linux networking.
• Must be eligible under ITAR requirements: a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations.

Nice to have

• Industry-recognized computer networking certifications.
• Knowledge of IETF and 3GPP standards, sFlow, RFC 2544, Y.1564, TWAMP, or POLQA.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal, customer interface, and technical learning skills.
