TL;DR
Lab Architect (Networking): Integrating Starlink with third-party network vendors and developing joint technical solutions and value propositions with an accent on enterprise network infrastructure, technical sales, and cross-functional product integration. Focus on building reference architectures, onboarding completed solutions into internal test environments, troubleshooting complex networking issues, and supporting customer-facing technical engagements.

Location: Redmond, Washington, United States; onsite when not traveling with customers. Travel to customer locations and other SpaceX sites is required approximately 50% of the time.

Salary: $82,000–$110,000 annually for Level 1; $105,000–$150,000 annually for Level 2.

What you will do

  • Drive Starlink integration engagements with third-party networking vendors.
  • Develop joint value propositions, technical solution guides, reference architectures, and integration documentation.
  • Work with product engineering teams to onboard completed solutions into internal test environments.
  • Support technical sales engagements and answer customer questions about third-party integrations.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Licensing, Government Affairs, Finance, Legal, and Product Engineering.
  • Represent Starlink at conferences and industry events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or at least 3 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in technical sales.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Experience with computer networking technologies and standards, including TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, LACP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, OSPF, BGP, IPsec, VXLAN, MPLS, VPNs, and SD-WAN.
  • Proficiency troubleshooting with packet capture or tcpdump analysis and proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language.
  • Must be eligible under ITAR requirements: a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Industry-recognized computer networking certifications.
  • Experience with network monitoring standards and tools such as sFlow, RFC 2544, Y.1564, TWAMP, or POLQA.
  • Knowledge of Linux networking and user-space network stacks.
  • Strong presentation, customer interface, and interpersonal skills.
