What you will do

• Interact with Department of Defense organizations and large aerospace companies.
• Work with the chief engineer and program managers across multiple projects.
• Generate, analyze, decompose, allocate, and review system requirements with customers.
• Create and maintain interface control documents, validation and verification plans, and test plans.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications through functional analysis, trade studies, interface definition, and configuration management.
• Formalize the systems engineering approach, tools, risk management, and requirements processes.

Requirements

• Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in an engineering role.
• Experience with hardware and software development, integration, and testing.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
• Experience formalizing systems engineering approaches and tools.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in physics, engineering, or mathematics.
• Degree or certification in systems engineering.
• Experience as a systems engineer on a Department of Defense program.
• Experience with CATIA, drawing release processes, and hardware and software configuration management.
