TL;DR
Staff Frontend Engineer (Vue/TypeScript): Shaping frontend architecture and shared web solutions for large-scale European real estate marketplaces with an accent on performance, accessibility, reliability, and cross-team technical leadership. Focus on designing reusable frontend libraries, leading framework migrations and microfrontend initiatives, improving observability and CI/CD, and mentoring engineers across teams.
Location: Hybrid work from the SMG office at Milutina Milankovića 1i, Belgrade, Serbia

What you will do
- Set frontend technical direction across multiple teams and connect architecture strategy with product and business outcomes.
- Design and implement shared frontend libraries, design-system components, tooling, performance monitoring, and engineering blueprints.
- Lead cross-team refactors, framework upgrades, cross-brand UI harmonisation, and microfrontend initiatives.
- Own the technical vision for key real estate user journeys, focusing on performance, accessibility, UX quality, reliability, and SEO.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, DevX, engineering leadership, and other stakeholders on technical decisions, roadmaps, and trade-offs.
- Mentor engineers, guide design and code reviews, facilitate frontend knowledge-sharing, and promote testing, observability, security, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience with Vue.js or similar frontend frameworks.
- Strong experience building and evolving large-scale JavaScript and TypeScript applications, including production experience with Vue 3.
- Experience implementing automated frontend testing with Jest, Vitest, and/or Cypress.
- Staff, Lead, or equivalent technical leadership experience, including complex cross-team initiatives and influence without direct authority.
- Deep understanding of frontend CI/CD, automated release strategies, feature flagging, microfrontends, shared frontend solutions, and technical strategy execution.
- Excellent spoken and written English is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including AWS Lambda integrations.
- Experience with APIs, microservices, server-side or hybrid rendering, edge/CDN optimisation, web performance, accessibility, and SEO.
- Experience with Figma and mentoring senior engineers or tech leads.
