Expert Cloud Architect (Cloud)

Location: Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged, or Pécs, Hungary; remote work is available only within Hungary. The role involves working in the European Union to meet client data security and privacy requirements.

What you will do

• Develop and extend the Open Telekom Cloud public cloud platform.
• Improve platform architecture with a strong focus on IT security.
• Design and develop cloud platform and software-as-a-service features.
• Advise customers and specialists on OpenStack-based public cloud technology.
• Perform hands-on work in cloud consoles and automate infrastructure with common frameworks.
• Assess technical solutions and develop creative architectural approaches.

Requirements

• Technical, engineering, or scientific degree, or comparable professional training.
• At least 11 years of IT experience focused on modern cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of software, cloud, and container architectures.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, Linux, system tools, and network-related services.
• Customer orientation, agile development knowledge, mentoring, and presentation skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; work location must comply with the Hungary and European Union requirements stated in the posting.

Nice to have

• OpenStack experience.
• Programming experience in open-source projects.
