Mechanical Engineer (5-10 Years)

Location: Newport Beach, California, USA; hybrid work schedule.

Base salary: $95,000–$130,000 per year, based on experience. Paid overtime and an annual discretionary bonus are also offered.

What you will do

• Design HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems for hospitals, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
• Consult with architectural practices on mechanical building systems.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, electrical, fire protection, and other engineering disciplines.
• Apply mechanical, energy, and plumbing codes to project designs.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit to develop and coordinate designs.
• Evaluate systems using energy modeling software such as EnergyPro.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and as a team leader in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional Engineer license in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with mechanical, energy, and plumbing codes.
• Experience with both HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Experience with energy modeling software, including EnergyPro.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe InDesign, databases, and marketing proposal resources.
