Legal Intern (Summer 2027)

Salary: $10,000 per month, plus a $5,000 housing stipend

What you will do

• Support the Legal team on renewable energy development, acquisition, financing, construction, and operations projects.
• Conduct legal research and review, analyze, and help prepare transaction and project documentation.
• Support due diligence and legal matters affecting projects in development, under construction, and in operation.
• Gain exposure to project development, acquisitions, debt and tax equity financings, power purchase agreements, construction, procurement, real estate, interconnection, and corporate matters.
• Collaborate with Legal and cross-functional business teams to understand commercial context and develop practical solutions.
• Present completed work to colleagues at the end of the 10-week summer program.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a JD program.
• Strong academic and/or professional achievement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical skills, sound judgment, and close attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate in small, cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and approach unfamiliar legal and commercial questions thoughtfully.
• Interest in transactional law, renewable energy, project finance, infrastructure, corporate law, or related areas.

Nice to have

• Prior renewable energy experience or a demonstrated interest in learning about the industry.
