Assistant Project Manager (Construction)

Location: Aurora, Colorado, United States; based out of the Mountain States regional office with travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away

Estimated pay: $78,000–$124,000 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate safety, budgets, contracts, schedules, trade contractors, and suppliers with the Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Prepare and monitor construction schedules, resolve schedule issues, and support early project close-out and final owner acceptance.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, ASIs, submittals, change orders, project logs, and close-out documentation.
• Manage material procurement, including approvals, fabrication status, and delivery tracking.
• Analyze project budgets, costs, cash flow, pay applications, trade contractor payments, and lien waivers.
• Support risk assessments, constructability reviews, estimating, project meetings, quality control, and proposal activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering and 2+ years of related project management experience; alternatively, an associate degree in construction management and 4+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of shop drawing submittals, building plans and specifications, construction safety standards, and project coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, P6, Bluebeam, and Prolog.
• Current or ability to become current with OSHA 30 and company safety requirements.
• Willingness to work in various climate conditions and travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, integrity, and ethical skills.

• Commercial contractor experience.
