Senior HR Generalist (Palo Alto)

What you will do

• Own the HRIS, manage global modules, drive user adoption, and maintain accurate employee data.
• Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, including timely new-hire induction and continuous process improvement.
• Support employee relations, benefits enrollment, leave administration, payroll data updates, and performance review cycles.
• Coordinate training and development initiatives with the Tokyo Senior HRBP and cross-functional team leads.
• Ensure HR practices comply with US federal, state, and local labor laws while preparing headcount, turnover, compensation, and diversity reports.
• Support recruiting operations, background checks, studio events, and operational alignment with Finance and IT/Workplace teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Operations Specialist.
• Solid knowledge of US compliance, benefits, and employee relations.
• Hands-on HRIS expertise with strong attention to data integrity and detail.
• Ability to collaborate across time zones and cultures with a global mindset.
• High integrity, discretion, sound judgment, adaptability, and self-motivation.

Nice to have

• High proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and emerging AI productivity tools.
• Experience with HR transformation, value-driven culture, or flexible work strategies.
• Experience building rapport and influencing stakeholders across organizational levels.
