Molecular Genetic Technologist II (NGS)

What you will do

• Conduct high-complexity molecular testing for the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases.
• Perform clinical testing in accordance with CAP, NY, and CLIA regulations.
• Troubleshoot assay performance and operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Complete quality control checks, report deviations, and support sequencing QC.
• Manage laboratory stock, replenish supplies, and support the training of new employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology, plus 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a master’s degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of molecular genetics, NGS workflows, laboratory information management systems, library preparation, and instrument operation.
• Ability to maintain precision, productivity, safety, and regulatory compliance in a clinical laboratory environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Houston, Texas, USA.

Nice to have

• MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) certification.
