What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports covering product insights, data quality, and financial performance.
- Query, clean, and analyze large datasets from veterinary practice management systems using SQL.
- Develop and maintain veterinary taxonomies, data mappings, and related data pipelines.
- Translate clinical workflows into data requirements in partnership with software engineers, veterinary subject-matter experts, and business stakeholders.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in hospital performance data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support data integrity, AI tooling quality assurance, KPI development, metrics frameworks, and data governance.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.
- Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, and aggregations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain veterinary concepts to technical audiences and data constraints to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Must work from the Chicago, Illinois, United States location.
Nice to have
- Experience in veterinary, animal-health, or healthcare settings.
- Data visualization experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Databricks Dashboards.
- In-clinic or patient-facing experience in veterinary practice.
- Familiarity with veterinary practice management software such as Pulse, Impromed, or AVImark.
- Knowledge of veterinary or healthcare data standards and compliance considerations.
