Sr. Director, Accounting – TV Networks

Location: Hybrid role based at the CNBC headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, with a minimum of three office days per week. A complimentary daily shuttle is available from Manhattan.

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 yearly, plus bonus and long-term incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead controllership activities for the Sports and Entertainment Networks portfolio, covering distribution, advertising, affiliate, licensing, and other revenue streams.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, financial statements, reconciliations, account analyses, accruals, and management reporting.
• Ensure accounting compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX controls.
• Partner with Finance, Technical Accounting, Internal Audit, Legal, Technology, Treasury, Tax, Accounting Operations, and external auditors.
• Drive process standardization, automation, ERP implementation, close optimization, and reporting modernization.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting organization through organizational change and evolving operating models.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification required.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience, including significant leadership responsibility in a large, complex organization.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC or public-company reporting, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
• Experience leading month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet governance, reconciliations, and accounting operations.
• Experience in media, entertainment, digital, advertising, networks, streaming, technology, or a similarly complex industry.
