Project Engineer (Construction)

What you will do

• Review, interpret, and coordinate building plans, specifications, shop drawings, grade lines, and field construction requirements.
• Work with project managers and superintendents to resolve field problems, discrepancies, scheduling issues, and project risks.
• Develop project reports, schedules, analyses, estimates, scope matrices, and project progress updates.
• Monitor purchase requests, field orders, change orders, owner-supplied materials, costs, budgets, cash flow, and payment requests.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, trade supervisors, clients, suppliers, and internal staff throughout project delivery.
• Support site safety, quality management, bid packages, progress meetings, punch lists, and closeout activities.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to read and understand building plans, specifications, safety standards, and construction issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Prolog.
• Current or ability to become current with OSHA 10 and company safety requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work at project sites, travel up to 70+ miles, perform physical construction-related activities, lift up to 50 pounds, push up to 100 pounds, and work in sometimes extreme climate conditions.

• Experience in design, estimating, or field supervision.
