TL;DR
Therapy Access Manager (Patient Access and Reimbursement): Supporting healthcare providers and patients by educating offices on access services, reimbursement solutions, specialty pharmacies, and patient support programs across a defined U.S. territory with an accent on payer expertise, prior authorization, and claims resolution. Focus on managing complex reimbursement issues, implementing territory access plans, educating HCPs, and traveling more than 50% to support customer accounts.

Location: Remote, with candidates required to live within the assigned territory of Kansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, or Colorado. The role requires more than 50% travel and includes in-person customer visits.

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Manage provider accounts across the assigned territory to support appropriate access to hirify.global products.
  • Educate healthcare providers and office staff on access services, reimbursement solutions, insurance procedures, and patient support programs.
  • Execute territory strategies with internal and external partners, including market access, specialty pharmacies, call center or HUB services, and commercial teams.
  • Act as the payer expert for the assigned geography and communicate relevant payer policy changes to stakeholders.
  • Support benefits investigations, prior authorizations, appeals, claims resolution, and patient-level reimbursement issues within defined compliance rules.
  • Conduct customer visits, participate in cross-functional meetings, and record activity in the CRM system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 6+ years, or PhD/PharmD with 2+ years.
  • At least 1 year of experience in market access or field reimbursement supporting specialty products.
  • Experience with specialty or biologic products and complex reimbursement processes.
  • Experience educating healthcare providers on patient service programs such as copay support, nurse education, and patient assistance.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, solve problems, apply strong business acumen, and use analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to travel more than 50% and reside within the assigned territory.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree, PhD, or PharmD.
  • Experience in cardiology, pulmonology, or rare and orphan drugs.
  • Experience delivering educational presentations in person or through Zoom, Webex, or Teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of medical insurance terminology and CMS policies, including Medicare Part B and Part D.
