TL;DR
Dyne Care Partner (Rare Disease Patient Access): Supporting patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and infusion centers throughout the treatment journey with an accent on patient education, reimbursement support, and care coordination. Focus on resolving access barriers, coordinating infusion therapy, managing prior authorizations and appeals, and maintaining compliant continuity of care across the assigned territory.

Location: Field-based in the assigned New England territory; candidates must reside within the territory and within reasonable driving distance of a major commercial airport. Frequent regional and national travel is required, with travel of up to 50–80%.

Salary: $190,000–$225,000 USD annual base pay for the Massachusetts pay range.

A biotechnology company developing therapeutics for genetically driven neuromuscular diseases, including Duchenne muscular dystrophy, myotonic dystrophy type 1, facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, and Pompe disease.

What you will do

  • Support patients and caregivers throughout therapy initiation, treatment, infusion scheduling, and treatment continuation.
  • Provide individualized education on disease, therapy expectations, product storage, handling, and administration using approved materials.
  • Explain reimbursement pathways, prior authorizations, appeals, denials, reauthorizations, and site-of-care requirements.
  • Build relationships with healthcare providers, office staff, infusion centers, specialty pharmacies, and HUB service partners.
  • Identify and escalate access barriers, adverse events, product complaints, and privacy incidents through approved channels.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all patient support activities comply with regulatory, privacy, ethical, and company requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, or a related healthcare field preferred.
  • RN, social worker, or equivalent healthcare experience preferred.
  • 8+ years of healthcare or related experience, including 5+ years in patient services, reimbursement, case management, field education, specialty pharmacy, or care coordination.
  • Working knowledge of payer coverage, reimbursement pathways, prior authorizations, appeals, and denials.
  • Strong communication, organizational, relationship-building, problem-solving, judgment, and adaptability skills.
  • Ability to reside within the assigned territory, travel extensively, and support time-sensitive patient and provider needs outside standard business hours when required.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting specialty, rare disease, or infused/provider-administered therapies.
  • Experience in patient access, reimbursement, specialty pharmacy, or care coordination.
