Salary: $134,615–$201,250 annually, plus incentive opportunity

What you will do

  • Educate healthcare providers and office staff on product access, coverage, reimbursement, claims submission, and coding requirements.
  • Analyze payer criteria and explain reimbursement policies, including prior authorization requirements.
  • Coordinate with patient support hubs on individual cases, enrollment, and support services.
  • Collaborate with field sales, specialty pharmacy accounts, and other internal and external partners.
  • Execute territory plans, provide feedback on local payer trends, and help resolve patient-specific coverage challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience focused on payer policy and reimbursement.
  • At least 3 years of experience with benefit verification, prior authorization, patient access, billing, or coding in rare disease.
  • Strong communication, consultative, organizational, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Nephrology experience and knowledge of the U.S. healthcare payer and billing system are required or strongly relevant to the role.
  • Valid driver’s license and availability for up to 60–70% domestic travel.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of CMS policies and processes, especially Medicare Part D.
  • Experience in a Buy and Bill reimbursement environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
