Deals Services - Senior Associate, Strategic Finance and FP&A, Advanced Decision Modeling (Boston/Hybrid)

Location: Boston, hybrid; willingness to travel up to 25% to meet client needs.

Salary: $85,100–$161,700 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Analyze financial information, forecast business expectations, and develop financial analytics solutions for strategic planning.
• Build valuations and perform deal analysis for mergers and acquisitions, integrations, divestitures, and financings.
• Interpret historical and current financial data, economic trends, market influences, and future risk factors.
• Develop investment values and advise clients on strategic planning, FP&A, budgeting, and capital structure optimization.
• Use technology and analytical tools to deliver high-value client services and innovative solutions.
• Monitor project progress and deliver technically rigorous client work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of post-degree experience involving financial analysis; candidates with at least 2 years of related experience in a high-growth environment are considered.
• Experience in commercial banking, equity research, valuation, investment banking, accounting, consulting, corporate development, or FP&A.
• Advanced financial modeling experience is required.
• Experience building financial analytics models and tools from scratch in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with one or more of VBA, MS Access, SQL Server, Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, or Alteryx.

Nice to have

• Expertise developing and explaining fully integrated three-statement financial models.
• Advanced modeling of equity, debt, and hybrid instruments for transactions and strategic finance events.
• Experience creating board-level and management-ready PowerPoint presentations.
• Strong valuation skills using income and market approaches, plus bottom-up and top-down forecasting.
