Project Manager - Healthcare Commercial Construction

Location: Dallas, United States; requires frequent movement and work on construction job sites

What you will do

• Lead healthcare commercial construction projects ranging from $10 million to $50 million or manage major scopes within larger projects.
• Oversee project financials, general conditions budgets, cost forecasting, risk management, quality, and monthly reporting.
• Support preconstruction by assembling bid packages, directing pre-bid meetings, analyzing bids, awarding work, and assisting with contract negotiations.
• Lead value-engineering and cost-savings initiatives while evaluating and negotiating owner and subcontractor change orders.
• Maintain compliance of construction contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders with contract documents.
• Manage project schedules and supervise, mentor, and develop Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant commercial construction experience, including required healthcare construction experience.
• Experience leading projects and being accountable for financial outcomes, completion, and schedule.
• Experience supporting larger project teams and understanding successful pre-project planning.
• College degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with owners, subcontractors, unions, vendors, superintendents, and project teams.
• Ability to work on uneven surfaces, climb ladders and stairs, move equipment up to 50 pounds, stand for much of the day, and maintain consistent attendance.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of local market and city regulatory requirements and procedures.
• Experience with Excel, Synchro, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, Revit, or comparable construction technologies.
• Estimating experience.
• Understanding of the design process and interest in integrated project delivery, process improvement, and construction technology.
