Java Back End

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal; 3 days per week at the office

Salary: €3,300–€3,700 gross/month, including fixed and variable components, meal allowance, remote work allowance, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, code, enhance, and maintain backend software components using Java and Spring.
• Take ownership of component quality, performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Analyse complex technical problems and develop solutions that improve system efficiency and reliability.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and define technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Support and guide less experienced colleagues through knowledge sharing and development best practices.

Requirements

• Strong or expert proficiency in Java Spring.
• Strong experience in backend software development and ownership of software components.
• Experience with architectural discussions, technical decision-making, and Agile practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and accountability skills.
• English proficiency at minimum C1 level.
• Availability to work 3 days per week at the Lisbon office.

• Microservices architecture.
